After years appropriate aside and, let's say it, of contempt on behalf of the,
big public, Urban Music " Made in Cameroon " is since
little in full takeoff. But that calls one precisely ''Urban music''?
We have decided to define it by a set of contemporary musics consumed by a youth between 15 and 35 years about. One can include the Rap (the Hip Hop in general), the R&B, the Soul Music, the Pop, (or Afropop), the Reggae, the Dancehall, the Afrobeats as well as the other kinds and derivative that are linked there directly.
Even though one remains again far from the Bikutsi, Makossa or Ben - Skin in terms of popular impact strength is to note that the Urban music begin little by little to become implanted. However, the path is again long so much the lack of professionnalisation, of coordination between the, different taking parts, the insvestissement and well of other Obstacles keys remain numerous.

Whereas the least Cameroonian Urban Artist seems again to look for himself a musical identity that is in him, 2013 will clearly have been the year of the emulation. Of the production or the communication, some, passing by the arrival of the Digital E - Marketing, one felt a strong person envies township to raise standards of quality.
This no - exhaustive file is going to tempt to summarize the situation somehow in the beginning of 2014: Events, Prominent Facts, Tendencies.. We've wished to regroup, to indicative title, what will have marked the Cameroon Urban Scene News the last year, and what we should be expecting in 2014.
We hope that this document will act as Landmark to value advanced them in a yearly manner in the different sectors still compose of a doubful Musical Industry but Promising.
